As a child Karen lived in Japan, Texas, and Indiana. Her love of photography started here with hand me down cameras and lurking in the darkroom of her Dad's research lab. After studying photography at Indiana University Karen moved to Seattle. Always a huge music lover, she started taking pics of her many musician friends. Soon her unique portraits had her shooting for the likes of Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, Details, WIRED and many other pubs. She has shot for a variety of advertising and entertainment clients. Known for her ability to create a concept and mood around a personality, her list of subjects is diverse. Karen lives in Seattle with her music producer husband, Michael Cozzi, and their 2 kitties.
